1. Who we are
Drone Aspect Imagery ("we", "us", "our") is a boutique aerial media studio based in Congleton, Cheshire, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller. You can contact us at studio@droneaspectimagery.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — your name, email, phone number, business details and project enquiry information when you contact us. We may also collect technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) automatically when you visit our site.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes
- To deliver commissioned aerial photography and video services
- To send project updates and invoicing
- To comply with legal and CAA regulatory obligations
- To improve our website and services
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of contract (to deliver services you have commissioned), legitimate interest (to respond to enquiries and run our business) and legal obligation (for tax, accounting and aviation records).
5. Aerial footage & imagery
Our work involves capturing aerial photography and video. We operate within CAA regulations and the UK Air Navigation Order. Where individuals or private property are identifiable, we take reasonable steps to comply with UK GDPR — including obtaining permissions where required and minimising incidental capture. If you appear in footage and wish to discuss its use, please contact us.
6. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We may share it with trusted service providers (hosting, email, accounting) who process it on our behalf, or where required by law.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements (typically 6 years for financial records).
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Contact us at studio@droneaspectimagery.co.uk to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
